SUNDAY PROGRAM

11a.m.-12:15p.m. In person only: Prayer and Meditation Session
Each month, TBLC holds a prayer and meditation session in the Main Temple. Recited in English, these prayers have been translated from a Tibetan non-sectarian liturgy originally arranged for large assemblies of Tibetan monks and nuns when gathering in Bodh Gaya, India, the place of Buddha’s enlightenment. [Those who plan to attend the 2pm Dharma class are welcome to bring their lunch and eat in the TBLC School House.]
2p.m.-3:30p.m. In person and Via Livestream: Dharma Class
Eminent scholar and longtime TBLC-associated Teacher Ven. Geshe Yeshe Thabkhe will give his commentary on Nagarjuna’s Precious Garland (Ratnavali). In this verse work addressed to a king, Nagarjuna, a renowned Indian Mahayana Buddhist Master and reputed founder of the Middle Way Philosophical School, gives practical counsel on how to find happiness, individually and as a society, through such practices as ethics, compassion, and wisdom. Translation will be provided by TBLC Co-Director, Joshua Cutler. TBLC Dharma classes are appropriate for both beginning and advanced students of Buddhism and all are welcome.
