Visiting TBLC
Visitors are Welcome
On the first Sunday of the month, TBLC is open to the public for a program of morning prayer and meditation, followed by a Dharma class in the afternoon. There is no need to sign up or call ahead on these days, unless you need to check on the road conditions nearby. In addition, our annual special events, Founder’s Day in February and the Maitreya Festival in August are open to all visitors. For all other times, however, we appreciate your calling ahead to schedule a visit so that we can ensure there will be people on hand to show you around and attend to your needs.
Regular Dharma Classes
TBLC Resident Monastic Scholars teach on the first Sundays of the month.
Group Visits
From time to time, TBLC has offered programs for interested school groups (grades 6-12), college classes, scout troops, and interfaith organizations. The typical program lasts 2 hours and involves a tour of the stupa and temple, a talk covering basic Buddhist ideas, and the use of the TBLC school house for lunch. Participation in a prayer and meditation session can also be arranged. Please call our office to schedule a visit.
